At Progress Communications, we place great value on teamwork. Our team’s different personalities and talents complement one another seamlessly, and we keep each other motivated, especially when the workload increases. Last Friday, we took part in the Sky Radio Run, a running event organised especially for the marketing and communications sector. It was a great example of how much we enjoy tackling challenges together.
The run took place in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Ouderkerkerplas recreation area. My colleague Marlous and I decided to push ourselves and chose two laps: a nine-kilometre run. Other colleagues aimed for the fastest time over 4.5 kilometres. And successfully so: our colleague Michel was fastest of all and won!
The final stretch is the hardest, as any runner knows. The strong sunshine during the first lap added another obstacle to achieving a good time. Although running is an individual sport, teamwork proved indispensable here too. Red-faced but cheerful, Marlous and I crossed the finish line together.
Drinks afterwards offered time both with our own team and with others in the industry. We needed no encouragement to join in. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that the Progress team was almost the last to leave. All in all, a great success. See you next year!
